Real Wedding Special Feature: Love is in the Air with Preston Bailey

Today I have the great pleasure of sharing with you the sights of the Empire State Buildings “Love is in the Air” contest winners dream weddings, styled by our partner (and wedding design virtuoso!) Preston Bailey. It was truly an honor to have been a part of this event as a sponsor and to have helped create such amazing and ethereal settings for all three couples to get married in.¬† Preston is always a visionary, and it’s a treat to see how he transformed the Empire State Building by creating different “seasons” with Weddingstar Inc. accessories! Enjoy!

Laurie-Ann and Daniel’s story of how they met is just like something out of a romantic movie – set up on a blind date by a mutual friend, they went out for supper to find that their conversation lasted well into the night! Romance ensued and fate struck when the couple noticed a poster for the contest while vacationing with their children in New York. Entering with crossed fingers, the two won and were wed with their children ( all under the age of 12!) each playing their part in a ceremony to remember! Congratulations to you all!

Fate was a major player in Danielle and Michael’s nuptials as well! Meeting by chance through friend’s of friend’s on Michael’s birthday, Danielle knew it was love at first sight. Through tough times and even natural disasters (Michael proposed during hurricane Issac!), the couples love survived and flourished. When they were newly engaged and on vacation in New York they joked about getting married at Empire State Building¬† – finding out there was a contest they immediately planned to enter. Congratulations!

Reunited 23 years after high school, Kari and John had known each other while growing up, but never felt a connection. Getting re-acquainted via Facebook, the two clicked so well that even a moderately disastrous first date couldn’t cool their blaze. Fast forward a few years to John popping the question amid roses while a stunned but delighted Kari accepted. Having always loved non-traditional dates, they knew they had to enter to win a non-traditional wedding when Kari saw the poster for the contest! Congratulations you two!

I hope everyone enjoyed this special feature – a special thanks to Preston Bailey for sharing his genius with us. Congratulations again to all the happy couples, and to Preston and his (now!) husband Theo, who were married the night before in an amazing dream wedding themselves. See you all Wednesday – Happy Weddings!
