Paper Power, and So Much More!

After a whirlwind few days, we’ve returned from the Big Apple with inspiration and enthusiasm! Four Weddingstar-ians from the Design and Marketing teams participated in the annual National Stationery Show in New York City.

Our first day in NY was spent setting up Weddingstar’s display booth. We showcased a wide variety our new product line, which meant tons of awesome products to unpack, although this cut into valuable shopping and sight-seeing time in the end it was well worth it, and the booth looked fabulous.

The National Stationery Show was open May 15 through May 18, and each day was bustling with activity. It is the only tradeshow in the United States that focuses specifically on stationery and related products. We are excited to have met hundreds of retailers, event planners, designers, press and fellow exhibitors, all who share our enthusiasm for weddings! Nothing beats seeing the upbeat reaction to products such as our Phantom Chairs, Love Bird Damask Cupcake Tower, or Stationery Collections!

We were also honored to be finalists in the Best New Product Competition! Three of our products were selected in three categories, and were showcased in the main lobby.

In the Paper Style category, our Love Bird Damask stationery collection was selected for adding a wedding twist to the well-known damask style. From invitations to water bottle labels to window clings, there are 25 formats of this collection available, in 15 color choices.

In the Celebrations category, the popular Antique Style Key Bottle Opener has a vintage feel and is practical – guests love to take this favor home!

In the All Things Wedding category, our “Kiss And We’re Off!” Figurine gives a cherished glance into a Bride stealing a kiss from her new Groom, while balanced on a suitcase.

We’re always happy to talk about trends in the wedding industry, and our innovative business programs. Social media was a hot topic, with an emphasis on Facebook and Twitter. Besides all the fabulous samples we collected we also brought back some great inspiration that will influence next years product line.

On behalf of Jen and Stephanie, we would like to send a huge thank you to the organizers of the National Stationery Show for another great event. To everyone we met at the show, we look forward to speaking and working with you very soon!
