And when all’s said and done, the last thing that’ll come to anyone’s mind when admiring the end result are the words budget friendly. Here’s how to get the look.
- a round bowl, a teaspoon and water
- pack of water pearls in your color of choice (7 color options can be seen here)
- a trio of cylinder vases, in a variety of heights
- bundle of tulips (approximately 15-20 stems)
The Step by Step
Step 1: hydrate your water pearls. Using a ratio of 1.5 cups of water per teaspoon of dehydrated pearls, hydrate the entire pack of pearls. Pearls take at least 2 hours to expand. For best results, let them rest overnight.
Step 2: once pearls are fully hydrated, add them to your vases, filling each approximately a quarter of the way up.
Step 3: using a sharp blade knife, gently clean tulips off of all their leaves and begin filling your vases, trimming the lengths of the stems accordingly as you go. For each vase, start with a single stem, trimmed down such that it rest just above your water pearls. Next add stem on top of stem, carefully twisting each around your vase for an intertwined effect. Keep tulips close together but do not overlap them, and ensure that all stems are submerged in the water pearls to maintain their freshness.
