If you’ve yet to discover the concept of paper decorations you’re in for a delightfully pretty treat with today’s DIY feature. As one of the most budget-friendly options available in decor, their appeal is instantly obvious. But what makes them irresistible is not their price point, it’s their range of loveliness and versatility. Take the boho inspired paper feathers featured in today’s post. You can do just about anything with them, from table top accents to stationery detailing, with each concept equally stunning. The options really are endless, which had us a bit stumped on what to pull together today. But after much debating we finally decided on a concept perfect for one of our favorite wedding day details, a custom bride and groom chair back, because it’s so very pretty and because it only takes two steps to make. - paper feathers – approximately 20 feather whimsy paper feathers and laser expressions feather tags – 28 in white and 45 in ivory
- styrofoam wreath
- raw muslin fabric ribbon
- wide satin ribbon in ivory
Step 1: start with the base of your chair back, the wreath, and wrap it completely with fabric ribbon. Secure in the back with pins.
Step 2: add your feathers to the wreath. Pick a starting point and begin your formation by pinning your feathers, overlapping them as you go and keeping a balanced mix of all three feather types. Finish off the chair back by adding the satin ribbon that will attach the wreath to your chair.
