In our last post we shared how to create a DIY maid of honour proposal gift box – today it’s all about the bridesmaids!
Pop the question by adding a faux hand lettered message to a glass jewelry box with rose gold edges.
Here’s the supplies you will need for the Will You Be My Bridesmaid Proposal Gift Box:
Packing and DIY Supplies:
- Gold Foil Jumbo Party Confetti
- White 9″x 9″x 4.5″ Two Piece Gift Box
- White and Gold Mylar Sizzle
- Black and White Striped Ribbon
- Real or Silk Flowers
- Fine Tip Water Based Sharpie Paint Markers in White and Gold
- DIY Photo Label
- Decorative Tape
Do-It-Yourself Faux Lettering on Glass Jewellery Box:
Clean the glass before starting. Cut out the lettering as shown above and tape it to the back of the glass lid. Trace the lettering using the Sharpie marker. If you make a mistake, it’s easy to remove the paint using a damp cotton swab or tissue. Allow the paint to dry a few minutes before handling.
Do-It-Yourself Labels on Wine Bottles:
Sure you could just add a mini wine bottle to the gift box but isn’t this so much nicer? Print a photo onto plain white paper and trim it to fit your bottle. Make sure to cover the existing label and use a piece of decorative tape to keep the paper label in place.
Make sure you are using a gift box that is large enough to to easily fit the biggest gift item. Add sizzle to the bottom of the box and place all of your items on top of the sizzle. Add extra sizzle wherever it is necessary to make sure that everything stays in place. Add a few decorative elements like gold foil party confetti.
Make sure that your proposal boxes are as pretty on the outside as the inside using ribbon, real or silk flowers, gold foil party confetti and gift tags. Instead of a gift tag, add a pretty hand lettered detail to the box using a gold Sharpie paint marker.
Stay tuned, the next proposal box post will be all about the flower girls!
