Who ever thought a football inspired wedding could be so chic! Meet Ahlia + Eric who had a Green Bay Packers inspired wedding that has me thinking a style guru must have designed the Packers logo – seriously! With the funky backdrops at their venue, the aptly named Post Card Inn, their big day is not only beautiful but full of A + E’s own bubbly personalities. I love all their special details and how they incorporated their own love story into the wedding design. Congratulations Ahlia + Eric!!!
The amount of detail in this wedding is absolutely mind boggling. From the personalized cocktails during the bridal party’s preparations to the sweet directional signs and creative table numbers; you can see the Bride’s handiwork in all of it. Personalized stationery, several designs of wedding napkins, a unique guestbook idea and a custom made cake topper are just a fraction of what this wedding has to show.
I’ve featured a ton more photos than normal simply because there was no way I could narrow it down and risk losing any of the details!
We already know that you can’t resist a man in uniform, but that’s only one of the many fabulous details in this wedding! It’s all about the little things; the hand painted cake topper, the cartoon versions of the Bride and Groom gracing their wedding stationery, the buttons on the vases and of course the exquisite candy buffet. I never tire of seeing a well done candy buffet, it’s such a great alternative or addition to traditional wedding favors.
Even though today felt like the first real day of Winter, what with the world suddenly becoming covered in a glistening and slightly damp layer of white; I’ve decided I’m not quite ready to let go of Autumn. As such I have done a little digging and come up with a collection of photographs that will hopefully help to inspire you.
Welcome back, readers! Here is a real treat for all of you who gush over couples in love. Joy Marie Photography submitted a collection of photos from Alyn Kim and Kevin Zen’s summery wedding day. Her dress was elegant, and the rustic venue and splash of color in the decor really captured the feeling of summer bliss.
The happy couple was married in Simi Valley, California on June 26, 2010.
This couple really knows how to showcase the romance. With her looking sophisticated yet pretty in her figure-flattering dress and him looking dapper in his tux, the two really showed off their love for one another in style. Continue reading
This is for the couple who is laid back, loves having fun and doesn’t want a 100% formal wedding.
I’ve chosen the heart as the unifying theme for the main inspiration board, a way to tie all the different ideas together. The products are more playful than the somewhat traditional variety.
You’ve got my heart on a string.
Every wedding should have at least one thing that is extra special and unique. A little something that comes straight from the heart and makes you realize how in love the Bride and Groom really are.
In this sweet wedding it was the vows, letters that spoke of first meetings, hope for the future and in the Groom’s case; his delight that not only would this wedding give him the woman he loved for his Bride, but also her daughter, Isabella, for his own.
I bet you thought that because I promised love and sunshine all this week, you would be getting even more palm trees and sand today. Not so! This wedding falls into my chosen category beautifully, but it is a completely different style from the other two I featured this week.
This sunny wedding is bold and vibrant, and so full of DIY creativity it’ll make your jaw drop!
