The following is a guest blog post by Rob Holley, a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience in the wedding industry! In this post he shares his thoughts on why an engagement shoot is a good investment not only for the memories but also for the lessons that it unfolds. Enjoy!
When it comes to Engagement shoots, the ones that always stand out for me are those that well and truly capture the personality of the couple. It’s more than just great photography and a beautiful location – when people incorporate props and bits of their personality into the photoshoot, you can get a true sense of who they are when they’re together. The pictures become more than just a pretty keepsake, they become a reminder of all the things you love about each other and that… is never a bad thing!
Seeing as it is Christmas Eve, I thought we should celebrate by focusing on sweet love. This engagement photoshoot is so full of happiness that I knew immediately it was exactly what I wanted to feature today. Every picture submitted by Justine Russo Photography was exquisite – choosing just a few of these breathtaking engagement photos was next to impossible!
The following is a guest blog post by Ilaria Lanzoni, Director of Design at Hearts on Fire Jewelry. Enjoy!

Flash Mob America’s flash mobs have also been featured on the hilarious TV sitcom, Modern Family, as well as the hit reality series, The Bachelorette.
So, without further adieu, here’s what they had to say… Continue reading
OK, I know, we don’t typically feature engagement photo shoots on our blog. But this one is so absolutely stunning…and, admittedly, I’ve been gushing over engaged couples ever since my own engagement last month!
There’s no gimmicks here. No costumes, no staged backdrops — just downtown Chicago, two people in love…and a ton of outfit changes.
Julie Hilgendorf and Caleb Eplett were engaged on May 1, 2011. Continue reading
…wow, it’s five days later and saying that still puts butterflies in my stomach!
My fiancé, Brett, and I (ohh saying the word fiancé still gives me goosebumps!) got engaged last Friday. His proposal was more romantic than I could have ever imagined, and I was totally surprised.
He had me believing that I was going to have to wait another six months before he’d pop the question…six months!
But without further adieu, here’s how the happiest night of my life (so far) unfolded… Continue reading
