When we received Erin + Mike’s wedding, not only were we blown away by the photos (all of which are incredible!), but we were also impacted by the story of their big day. Originally the pair had planned an amazing outdoor ceremony at their favorite New Jersey lake, but with their wedding date in October of this past year, Hurricane Sandy had other plans! With evacuation looming overhead and Mother Nature’s special brand of havoc swirling ever closer, it would be enough to dishearten any couple! But Erin + Mike’s love conquered it all. From their first look and beyond, it’s clear that love is the only thing on both of their minds. And, I’m sure it’s going to be the only thing on your mind too when you see their beautiful autumn wedding with pops of colors, delicate fall leaves and a pair of some of the most amazing wedding shoes ever! Enjoy and congratulations to Erin + Mike – we are so happy to be able to share your inspiring day!
Andreya + James had an ultra decadent affair at the Seawell Grand Ballroom in Denver, Colorado this past March. Using jewel tones to set the stage for their swanky affair, every detail of their day is infused with luxury, from ceiling to floor! With hanging crystals sparkling in low tinted lighting amidst bushels of roses, their wedding day is a fairytale in motion. I especially love how they tied decadence and playfulness together with their own personal twist that includes one heck of a reception entrance! Get ready to be inspired, enjoy!
Tricia and Blake hosted an amazing classic wedding amidst the local scenery of their beloved city of Los Angeles. With bold backgrounds, their classic design gets a pop of modern art-like styling that’s sure to inspire! I especially love how Tricia gives her wedding look that extra oomph with bright red stilettos – the perfect statement shoe (and the perfect photo prop, just take a peek at how amazing they look!). Congratulations you two – what an amazing style! Enjoy!
If elegance and class are the focal points of your wedding planning – this is one wedding you’re not going to want to miss. All the details, from the perfect red roses to the romantic lighting at the reception, are stunning. The swirls of petals down the aisle are a gorgeous alternative to an aisle runner, not only safe and environmentally friendly for the outdoors, but also incredibly visually appealing.
Roses are incredibly popular as wedding flowers because of their long-standing representation of love, passion and beauty. Between the vines in the background of this first picture, the elegance of the chapel and the centerpiece branches with the perfectly placed roses; I am somehow reminded of the fairytale of Beauty and the Beast. Though of course there is nothing beastly about this couple; in fact, they are absolutely stunning!
Blending delicate peach roses with hints of pastel blues and greens, this wedding features an incredibly soft pallet. A little added bling at the centre of many of the roses serves to modernize the look, while photographs of the couple merged with the decor incorporate a more personal touch.
A candy buffet, suspended rose centrepieces and delicate florals are only a few of the oh-so-sweet elements in this wedding.
I love the details captured by Michael Anthony Photography, especially the rings and the excitement of the bouquet toss — but my favourite photo, by far, is the very last. You’ll see why!
It is not too often that I receive a submission with a staged photoshoot, and less often that I will accept them. However this particular one is so incredibly stunning, there wasn’t a chance I was going to deprive all our fabulous readers!
This vintage but ‘not your Grandma’s wedding’ style shoot was submitted by Christy Whitehead Photography. I’ll let them explain, “This was a stylized shoot that we did at an old sawmill. We had tails for the groom and a lacy dress for the bride. Handmade cameos are featured on the cake. We even had an actual family marriage certificate displayed in a frame on the sign in table. We loved the idea of mismatched place settings and the feel of you pulled this stuff out of your grandmother’s trunk. [It is] very much a possible do it yourself project on a budget.”
You can`t achieve a nautical theme much better than by getting married on a 100` private yacht. Patrice and James did exactly that! They were married by the Captain and wove the sea into all their decor.
This sunny, lovely wedding, features gems such as; Bridesmaids bouquets in shells, personalized napkin rings made from sand dollars, an ice sculpture and even tiki huts and hammocks!
Every wedding should have at least one thing that is extra special and unique. A little something that comes straight from the heart and makes you realize how in love the Bride and Groom really are.
In this sweet wedding it was the vows, letters that spoke of first meetings, hope for the future and in the Groom’s case; his delight that not only would this wedding give him the woman he loved for his Bride, but also her daughter, Isabella, for his own.
