Bianca + Eduardo were married in a stunning traditional ceremony at the Church of Santo Domingo de Guzman in Oaxaca, Mexico on April 14th, 2012. With a traditional Oaxacan calenda (parade) to lead their guests to the reception, Bianca + Eduardo’s Mexican destination wedding is simply amazing!
The story of this couples engagement plucked at my heartstrings! Blowing out the candles on his 25th birthday Chris was asked what he wished for, “I wish that Lyda would marry me” was his reply. Dropping to one knee, he took out the ring and Lyda happily accepted! Making their dreams come true, Lyda + Chris tied the knot on June 2nd, 2012 in a flirty floral theme with muted hues of purple. Divine!
I always love seeing weddings from around the world and Nina + Martin’s wedding from their home in Düsseldorf, Germany was a treat to see! Featuring a vast array of fantastic DIY accessories and accents, Nina + Martin’s wedding is truly inspiring. From Nina sporting her own handmade wedding dress courtesy of her aunt, to the couples personalities being expertly captured in every photo, I am so in awe of how chic yet fun their vintage DIY wedding was. Enjoy!
This is one of the most spectacular (not to mention fun!) weddings I have ever seen! Rashida + Chafula were married at the Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans on August 11th, 2012. Complete with masquerade masks, an authentic second line band and 3 different dresses, Rashida + Chafula’s wedding is ritzy, glamorous and like something out of a dream! Enjoy!
Yumiko + Daniel were married on October 11th, 2012 in Karuizaw, Nagano. Together with Brian Ho, their friend and fellow wedding photographer, they decided to document their wedding in a way often forgotten in today’s digital age – by using analogue film. The results are incredible! With their backdrop of the lush forests surrounding Restaurant Le Vert, Yumiko + Daniel’s wedding is a breathtaking celebration of love and nature. Enjoy!
Today I have the great pleasure of sharing with you the sights of the Empire State Buildings “Love is in the Air” contest winners dream weddings, styled by our partner (and wedding design virtuoso!) Preston Bailey. It was truly an honor to have been a part of this event as a sponsor and to have helped create such amazing and ethereal settings for all three couples to get married in. Preston is always a visionary, and it’s a treat to see how he transformed the Empire State Building by creating different “seasons” with Weddingstar Inc. accessories! Enjoy! Amanda + Dex were married on April 14th, 2012 in a soiree all their own! With the mix of bold colors like teal and pink with classic black, their spring wedding was the perfect mix of fun and formality! I especially love how the pictures capture the couples fun-loving attitude with shots that show romance and playfulness. Don’t miss our very own “Bride Ready to Hit A Home Run with Groom Pitching” cake topper, which has a great cameo in Amanda and Dex’s wedding photos too! This wedding looks like it was a blast – enjoy!
