Wedding Theme Inspiration: Art Deco

art deco wedding

It has been a week of celebrating all things sparkly on The Details Blog, and we’re ending things off with a bang!  If you started your wedding planning at any point in the last year and picked up a bridal magazine, checked out a wedding blog, or visited Pinterest, there’s no way that you haven’t come across one or two {or 20!} Art Deco inspired wedding ideas. Brought into the spotlight by the ever popular 2013 revival of The Great Gatsby movie, the Art Deco wedding theme saw a massive comeback and continues to remain a top choice for 2014. And why not? Brimming with decadence and glamor, what’s not to love!

So today we’re sharing a peek into our very own Art Deco inspired wedding shoot featured in this year’s Weddingstar’s print magazine, complete with all the design details, elements and products you need to make the look yours. Get ready to indulge!

The Look – Glamor Galore

No room for shyness here! The Art Deco look is defined by the dramatic and the bold. It’s where Old Hollywood romance meets the pleasure of a bit of self-indulgence, and where sophistication is a must. It’s an unmistakably mature and confident look, and it’s definitely got us blushing!

The Design – Distinct Luxury

Only things that sparkle and shine need apply. The distinctively strong linear geometric shapes that make up an Art Deco design are softened up by golden dazzling details. Whether it be glittering accents or soft candlelight, all the elements come together to create an opulent and luxurious finish.
