Every year our designers spend months dreaming up new cake toppers; their efforts are influenced not only by emerging trends in fashion, style and theme but by the Brides who have taken the time to share with us what they would like to see us create! The following cake toppers are the result of all the work over the past year.
With the New Year comes a new season of product development here at Weddingstar. As Weddingstar’s senior graphic designer it is always an appreciative reminder of the planning and detail that goes into designing our wedding accessories. Continue reading
Every wedding should have at least one thing that is extra special and unique. A little something that comes straight from the heart and makes you realize how in love the Bride and Groom really are.
In this sweet wedding it was the vows, letters that spoke of first meetings, hope for the future and in the Groom’s case; his delight that not only would this wedding give him the woman he loved for his Bride, but also her daughter, Isabella, for his own.
With February on the way out I’ve decided we are going to celebrate this week with lots of love and sunshine. It’s my hope that Planet Earth will take the hint and stop sending snow our way!
With that in mind, I have for you a wedding filled with sun, palm trees and creativity.
Set in beautiful Arizona, this lovely couple didn’t have to worry that snow would ruin their special day! Continue reading
The decision might be an easy one for you, but at some point you’ll have to decide what kind of napkins you want to use, and how you would like to display them. It depends completely on your taste and budget, but to help you decide I’ve put together a few various types that you could potentially use.
Keep in mind that napkins aren’t just for place settings, they are also often included in dessert tables, candy buffets, coffee bars and even the cake display.
Here you can see the classic folded napkin, which is usually either slightly decorated, as this one is, or placed in a champagne glass.
The whole point of the blog today is to receive a bit of feedback from our wonderful readers. As you hopefully know, here at Weddingstar we design and manufacture the majority of the wedding accessories that we sell. We are perhaps most well known for our wedding cake toppers and stationery.
We are already beginning to focus on designing new products for 2012 as the process takes a great deal of time and effort. However, this year we would like to do it a little bit differently! If you would be interested, we would like your opinion to shape a completely new product that we will design.
IF and only if we receive enough interest in this idea, we will gather your input weekly, via polls – and use your personal preferences to create something fabulous.
You would be able to choose the type of product you want to see; the theme, style, color and all the little details in between.
If there is a product you wish existed, this could be your chance to see it created!
That being said, if you want to see a product come to life through the creative input of brides and wedding professionals, all you have to do is show your interest. A brief comment on the blog, Twitter or Facebook is more than enough!
Thank you and have a fabulous day,
Often the very beginning of the wedding planning can be the hardest part. If you don’t have any direction and don’t know where to start, how can you possibly determine where to go next??
Once the budget is out of the way (as that should really be decided as soon as possible), you need to decide something, anything! Even the tiniest hint of an idea can start you off on your wedding planning journey.
We have two contests we need to announce for 2011, but keep in mind these contests are running for the whole year, so the draws won’t happen until near the end of 2011!
Now that we have that out of the way, lets get into the nitty gritty.
The Love Bird theme is a trend that has swept up the wedding world creating a tidal wave of weddings centered around a pair of adorable birds. Of course it makes perfect sense when you take into consideration just how unbelievably sweet and romantic it can be.
The history behind the style stems from Agapornis, the lovebirds native to Africa and Madagascar. These beautiful parrots with their stunning plumage demonstrate with their very being exactly what love is. They take only one mate whom they shower with adoration and affection for as long as they both shall live.
Of course the theme is not usually centered around the parrot it takes its name from – for the wedding scene it has been adapted to have a much softer appearance. Often times it is simply the silhouette of a pair of birds that is used to convey the romantic notion.
