Kristen and Casey – Starfish

I promised love and sunshine this week – so that is exactly what you are going to get! This beautiful beach wedding took place on Sanibel Island. It incorporates the beach element flawlessly into the wedding decorations for an event that is romantic, as well as very pleasing to the eye.

I especially love how they used shells to pour the sand during their sand ceremony. What a fabulous way to incorporate the theme of the wedding into the ceremony.

Starfish definitely seem to be the main decor element of this wedding – they permeate the wedding decor, but not in such a way that they are overdone. Rather, just the right amount were used to unify every aspect of the wedding. The starfish that decorated the aisle in the ceremony tie in flawlessly with those that were used as escort cards during the reception.

This is another example of a couple using words, rather than numbers, to differentiate between their tables. In this case they used locations, with each guest being seated at a specific ‘place’.

Small white pails were also used on the tables, a sweet homage to the days when playing in the sand and building sand castles was what the beach was all about. They make ideal favors for this wedding without a hint of childishness, just memories of simpler days!

Thank you so much to Maria Angela Photography for submitting this wedding, you captured it beautifully! It is such a great representation of what is possible when you can work with sun, sand and love.
