DIY Wedding Wednesday: Industrial Chic – Mini Pinch Pot Favors

Pulling together the visual creative content for a wedding magazine is hard work. Coming up with the concepts, coordinating the shoots, and producing the imagery takes close to a year to complete. But what’s harder still is having to wait to share the results! To help us cope with the anxiety of the wait we’ve been releasing some peeks into the content of the latest issue of Weddingstar magazine, hitting stands in just a few weeks, and we figured it only made sense to fit a DIY into the mix. Given our particular excitement over our Industrial Glam full feature (see the sneak peek here), we just couldn’t resist sharing one of its many DIY treats. Here’s how to pull the effortless, chic and sophisticated feel of Industrial Glam into your guest favors.

The Supplies

  • miniature two-tone pinch pot  (in willow green)
  • succulent
  • potting soil and shovel
  • thank you tag (design shown here being released december 2014)
  • clothespin (new product for release december 2014)

The How-To

It’s as simple as 1-2-3!

Step 1: fill your pot with soil to just below the top rim.  (Note:  Soil is for visual presentation and for propping, not for actual planting purposes.)

Step 2: place your succulent on top of the soil. For the freshest look, place the succulent the morning of your event and keep refrigerated until then.

Step 3: attach your tag to the front of the pot, at an angle.
