Asian themed weddings are romantic, elegant and full of celebration.
And as many of you probably already know, colors play a very important role in Asian culture, especially on a couple’s wedding day. Here are two color schemes I think are great for Asian weddings of any kind, whether that’s traditional or just for the love of Japanese cherry blossoms. Enjoy!

Red and gold is the color scheme of choice for weddings in China because it is believed to bring the couple happiness and good fortune. It’s also customary for a Japanese bride to wear a red kimono with gold embroidery for her wedding reception.

Cherry blossoms are elegant, pretty pink flowers native to Japan, and they are a popular theme for weddings all over the world. In Japanese culture, these delicate flowers are a symbol of transience and hope, and in China, they symbolize feminine beauty and power.
