Bold. Vibrant. Colour.
Not only does the wedding feature multitudes of colors (though a lovely shade of peach is definitely the focus), but the Bride and Groom’s surroundings in beautiful Playa del Carmen are filled with the kind of life that you simply don’t tend to see in North America. It’s rich culturally, musically and architecturally – a perfect location for a wedding, in my humble opinion.
With the new year approaching we have a number of exciting things to reveal, the first of them being our all-new wedding ‘Lookbooks’ and wedding stylist Kasia Juras-Azcurra. We wanted an opportunity to not only showcase our products, but to offer inspiration that is unique to Weddingstar. Kasia has made this all possible with her styled photoshoots that will be released through Weddingstar exclusively. The very first Lookbook that is going to be unveiled is ‘Contemporary Garden’; you can see a sneak peak of some of the details below.
What you see is only a tiny fragment of the stunning details that are about to be released!
The Calla Lily Exposé
Originally from Africa, the Calla Lily is now grown worldwide and has become a very popular addition to weddings. It has several merits as a wedding flower, including the fact that it lasts remarkably well once cut. This isn’t a flower that will fail you before the wedding day is over.
Due to the fact that the Calla Lily blooms quite easily in greenhouses it can typically be purchased at any time of year.
The amount of detail in this wedding is absolutely mind boggling. From the personalized cocktails during the bridal party’s preparations to the sweet directional signs and creative table numbers; you can see the Bride’s handiwork in all of it. Personalized stationery, several designs of wedding napkins, a unique guestbook idea and a custom made cake topper are just a fraction of what this wedding has to show.
I’ve featured a ton more photos than normal simply because there was no way I could narrow it down and risk losing any of the details!
Suspended from ceiling at the reception were folded paper cranes. Japanese legend promises that if someone folds a thousand paper cranes, they will be granted one wish. The idea behind it is incredibly romantic; a wish was definitely fulfilled at this lovely wedding.
The flower arrangements and delicate colors are feminine without being overpowering. You’ll love the exquisite details in the reception decor!
When you think of a wedding bouquet, whether it is for the Bride or Bridesmaids, your only concern might be what style and type of flowers you want. If however, you want to spice it up a little while still sticking with the traditional floral bouquet, there are a variety of ways that you can do just that!
Bouquet Jewellery is a fun way to add your own flair to even your flowers, but it has more uses than just looking stunning in your wedding photographs.
Roses are incredibly popular as wedding flowers because of their long-standing representation of love, passion and beauty. Between the vines in the background of this first picture, the elegance of the chapel and the centerpiece branches with the perfectly placed roses; I am somehow reminded of the fairytale of Beauty and the Beast. Though of course there is nothing beastly about this couple; in fact, they are absolutely stunning!
Paradise is the only way to describe this lush outdoor Florida wedding. It takes advantage of all the stunning details that nature has provided for them to create a beautiful example of a relaxed summer wedding.
The yellow and green accents blend beautifully with their surroundings, meshing perfectly with their chosen venue.
Gone are the days when wishing wells were nothing more than a box with a card-sized slit in the top! Whether you have specifically requested that guests donate money or you would simply like a location for cards; a wishing well will perform the service in style.
The challenge then becomes finding, or making one, that suits your theme and budget!
Winter weddings don’t always have to be white, blue and snowy! This New Jersey wedding adds a subtle hint of the holidays with evergreen boughs, pine cones in the centerpieces and snow covered trees on the wedding invitations. The seasonal theme is faint and blended in beautifully with the rest of the decor.
I absolutely love the stylized snowflake necklace that the Bride is wearing; simple and elegant!
